Why does it exist?

Google has never shipped a Search Console app, so checking a client’s traffic from a phone means the mobile website. QueryWatch is a native alternative for people who look at several sites a day and want to be told when one moves. The background is in why Google never shipped a Search Console app.

How do the alerts work?

Alerts are computed by the developer’s own relay server in Germany every six hours. The rule compares the latest complete day with the same weekday over the previous four weeks and fires at a 30 percent change or two standard deviations; both thresholds are adjustable per property. At most one notification is sent per property per day, and each alert stores the evidence it saw. Search Console data is itself a few days behind, which is covered in why Search Console data is days behind.

What happens to my Google account?

Sign-in uses Google’s own sign-in sheet with read-only access (the write scope is requested only when a Pro user submits or deletes a sitemap). On iPhone the refresh token stays in the Keychain. On Android, Google Play services hold the grant and the app never receives a refresh token. A credential leaves the phone only if you turn on push alerts. Details: where does your Google token go.

What does it not do?

It does not track rankings, does not read Google Analytics 4 and does not replace the Search Console website for manual actions or property verification, which Google’s API does not expose. It is also new, so it has few ratings so far.

Where can I try it?

Demo Mode runs the whole app, including Pro screens, on sample properties without signing in. Store links are on the product page. Questions: the support address on the FAQ page.
