Which Search Console app suits an agency with many client sites?

Agencies need every client property in one list, alerts before the client calls, and a report to send. What to look for in a mobile Search Console app.

For an agency, the useful Search Console app lists every client property on the free tier, groups them by client, tells you when one moves, and exports a report you can send. QueryWatch, which publishes this page, covers those four on iPhone and Android: all properties are free, alerts and white-label PDFs are on Pro. Google has no official app, so any mobile option reads your data through the public Search Console API.

What should an agency look for?

Need Why it matters In QueryWatch
No per-property cap Property count is the easiest thing to paywall, and agencies hit it first Every property free
Client grouping 20 domains in one flat list is unusable Client tags and colours, free
Push alerts with evidence You hear about a drop before the client does Pro: pages and queries attached
Shareable report Clients ask for numbers, not screenshots Pro: white-label PDF
Clear token handling You hold access on behalf of clients Token stays on device unless alerts are on

How do alerts decide to fire?

QueryWatch compares the latest complete day with the same weekday over the previous four weeks. It fires at a 30% change or 2 standard deviations, and sends at most one notification per property per day, so a 30-site portfolio does not become 30 pings. Search Console data runs about two days behind, so an alert describes a day that has already happened. More in anatomy of a traffic alert.

What else do agencies use?

Other iPhone apps exist, including Search Console SEO Tracker, which advertises alerts but caps free properties, and Search Console for Google, which paywalls multi-site access (listings read 12 September 2026; see the comparison pages). Google’s website remains the complete tool for verification and manual actions, which the API does not expose.

What is the limit?

QueryWatch is not a rank tracker and does not read Google Analytics 4. For client reporting that needs both, you will still build the full report on desktop.

Set-up steps for clients are in how to add a user to Search Console, and the product page is QueryWatch for agencies. Not affiliated with Google.

Questions

What is the best way to monitor many client sites in Search Console on a phone?

Use an app that lists every property you can access without a per-site cap, groups them by client, and alerts you when a site moves. QueryWatch does this on iPhone and Android: every property is free, with push alerts on Pro.

Do I need a separate Google account per client?

No. Search Console access is per user. If a client adds your Google account as a user on their property, it appears in your list next to the others, and an app reading the API will show it too.

Can I send a client a report from my phone?

QueryWatch Pro exports a white-label PDF you can share from the app. The free tier has CSV export.

Will an alert tell me why traffic dropped?

QueryWatch attaches the observed value, the baseline, the dates, the threshold and the top contributing pages to each alert. It shows what changed, not a diagnosis, so you still need to investigate.
